Teriyaki Tofu and Scallion Fried Rice

Ingredients:

  • 1 block Firm Tofu, pressed and cubed
  • Gusto’s Ready-to-Use Teriyaki Sauce
  • White Sesame Seeds

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Tofu: 
    • Cut the tofu into cubes and press them between paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  2. Pan-fry Tofu: 
    • In a non-stick pan, heat a bit of oil over medium-high heat. Add tofu cubes and cook until golden brown on all sides.
  3. Add Sauce: 
    • Pour Gusto’s Teriyaki Sauce over the tofu and let it simmer, allowing the sauce to coat the tofu cubes thoroughly.
  4. Garnish: 
    • Sprinkle white sesame seeds over the tofu and cook for an additional minute.

Scallion Fried Rice: 

Ingredients:

  • Finely Chopped Scallions
  • Cold Rice (preferably day-old)
  • Garlic, minced
  • White Onion, diced
  • Black Sesame Seeds
  • Oil for cooking

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Ingredients: 
    • Heat oil in a large pan or wok over medium heat. Add minced garlic and diced white onion, sauté until fragrant.
  2.  Add Rice:
    •  Increase heat to medium-high, add cold rice to the pan, breaking up any clumps.
  3.  Stir-fry: 
    • Stir-fry the rice for a few minutes until it starts to crisp slightly.
  4.  Add Scallions: 
    • Toss in the finely chopped scallions and continue to stir-fry for a couple of minutes until they wilt.
  5. Season: 
    • Drizzle some additional teriyaki sauce over the fried rice for added flavor (optional).
  6.  Finish: 
    • Sprinkle black sesame seeds over the fried rice, mix well, and cook for another minute before removing from heat.

Serve the Teriyaki Tofu alongside the Scallion Fried Rice for a delicious meal! Adjust the seasoning according to your taste preferences. Enjoy!
